I didn't win the Milk Bone photo contest.  I have a few ideas about this.

1.  They heard about the steroid thing.

2.  They thought my picture was airbrushed.  Maybe they thought, "My, what a handsome Whigle.  Surely no dog could be THAT good-looking."  Well, I'm here to tell you, Yes I am.  It's true the bosses changed the background color to show the judges how good I look in red.  But the rest of the picture is me, all me.  I'm just that handsome.

3.  They thought a dog as handsome as me might be stuck-up.  Maybe they thought I would demand a trailer of my own with a gold plated dog dish.  But NO, I'm just a down-to-earth practical dog who is running for Congress. 

But it's not a total loss.  I was offered a consolation prize.
