So, yes, the intern is here.  For what that's worth.  My sources were off a little: 

1.  She is not a lab.  She is no more a lab than I am.  But they told me she is a lab, so I'm going to treat her as a lab.  You'll see...

2.  She does not want to work.  She wants to sleep.  She wants to eat.  (Who doesn't?)

3.  She does not have useful connections.  Apparently, she thought she could recruit the skunks for my campaign.  SKUNKS!  What good is that??  I've already made it clear that nobody likes a stinky candidate.

4.  Her name is Filipi.  Filipi.  That doesn't work for me.  I shall call her Smelly Belly.

5.  She is a little cranky.  Just what I needed.  Another cranky old lady around here. 

Ah, well, I'll find something for her to do. 

On the bright side, though, it's official.  I have a lady friend.  Miss Matches is my First and Best Lady.

For everyone trying to keep up, let's review. 

There is me.  I am Lyle.  I am running for Congress.  I will bring CHICKEN to all dogs and cats. 

Miss Matches is my First and Best Lady.  Her brother is Mr. Quincyno, who leads Labs for Lyle.  (Thank goodness for that--obviously it won't be Smelly Belly.)

Then there is Little Bit.  She is my campaign manager and plays the piccolo in the DUCT TAPE  Congressional Pep Band. 

Basil heads up Boogles for Lyle, sings in the band and is my groupie.  He is also going to give me a new furdo. 

Skye leads Catahoula-Dane-a-Dors for Lyle and plays the keyboard.  She has rockin' studio shots. 

Brady is rounding up the Cats for Lyle and plays the drums.  He is the whole PURRcussion section.  Ha! Ha! 

Colby is the representative for American Eskimos for Lyle and is my Public Relations Officer. 

Sully represents Peek-a-Poos for Lyle and is my Events Coordinator. 

Bailey is the good looking redhead that gets us noticed. 

Tiki and Chili are my groupies.  (Yay!  My very own groupies!!  Dance, groupies, dance!) 

Xena is in charge of International Relations and supports German Shepherd Dogs for Lyle.  (That's me, in case you're having trouble following.)

Did I forget anyone?  I hope not.  So, you see, intern or no intern, there's no way I can lose.
