Campaign Update:
Just over 120 meals till elections. I can't imagine why I wouldn't win. My Campaign Manager has been working overtime making up for her sick leave.

The good news about giving up my Dark Side is that I now have support from the Bridge. Impy is rounding up the angels to help support the campaign. I think she will also be joining the baseball team. (Angels in the Outfield!)

The campaign has a new item on the platform, a bill co-sponsored by D.E.T.H. (Dogs for the Ethical Treatment of Humans) We are working for the better packaging of bacon. I think all dogs (and probably the cats too) were aware of the woeful shortage of bacon in our diets.

Mmm...bacon....mmm...ham...mmm...little piggies.

AnyLoo, leave it to Dogster SuperGenius Dexter to discover the source of the problem. Apparently bacon packages are too hard for people to open. A package that is easier to open would mean more bacon for me. Oh, and other dogs too. (And, for the record, Dexter, if all you're getting is the fat, you're being hoodwinked.) Mmmm...fat.

We think it is possible that PETA is behind this conspiracy. The evidence?
1. PETA is crazy.
2. Bacon packaging is crazy.
'Nuff said.

I suggest edible packaging. This would solve all our problems. I think it should be packed in pigskin. Dogs for the Packaging of Pork in Pigskin. It is only natural!

I'm a natural at this baseball thing.

My first baseball practice is coming up. I've already started preparing. I have a snappy jersey and a new hat. there will be snacks at practice, right?

I am more than ready.

Little Bit says I should probably practice catching too. I say, "And get my snappy new jersey dirty?" No problem. I'll play naked.

you don't expect me to get dirty for that, do you? Lyle makes the save and the runner is out at first!! YAY LYLE!

Band members, you need to practice too! We'll be playing "Take me out to the Ballgame" at the 7th inning stretch for the U.S. Paws' first game September 10.
