Deep Thoughts, by Lyle

Last year when I saved Pleasant the Pheasant's luscious looking tail from being eaten by a coyote, I told him, "You owe me, Big Bird."  This year, he is paying up.

Pleasant the Pheasant is teaching me how to be Ninja.  WhooLoo!

Now I never actually would have guessed that Pleasant was a Ninja, but he does have a pretty nifty head and neck-band thingie,  and he can be pretty sneaky when he wants to be.  So I am watching.  And learning.  He's telling me all sorts of birdie mumbo-jumbo that I don't completely understand.  Some of it is easy:  Clear your mind.  Done!  No problemo.  Other parts, not so easy.  I have a hard time being One With the Night on account of my white feet and nose.  Gotta get me one of those headband things.  I might draw the line at boots though.  I tried that once and it just isn't my thing.  If that keeps me from being Ninja, well, so be it.  I'll be the Ninja Night-Light!  By the time you see me coming...it's already too late.  Good slogan, huh?
