Deep Thoughts, by Lyle

O beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties, above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.this hurts

O beautiful for pilgrim feat, whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat, across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law.

O beautiful for heroes proved in liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved, and mercy more than life!
America! America! May God they gold refine,
'Til all success be nobleness, and every gain divine.

O beautiful for patriot dream that sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam, undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.

So here I sit.  Eating humble pie.  Tastes like crow.   Mmm...crow.  Not as good as chicken.

The Patriots humiliated my Packers yesterday.  Tom Brady played brilliantly.  Great pass percentage, no interceptions.  He only dropped the ball once.  But even that wasn't a turnover.  And Brett and the Pack?  Well, let's just say it wasn't pretty.

Of course it's early.  But the Patriots are playing like reigning Super Bowl champs and the Packers...well,...aren't.  So if I gotta lose, I can think of worse teams to lose to.  My silly little pointy Patriot hat is off to you, Brady!Brady is the king
