I had the best idea today.  It came to me on a whiff of a little something-something.  I'm going to write the Great American Novel.  I have to admit, I had a little help with this idea.  Great minds at Snoopy's Doghouse have been writing stories together for a little while now.  So I thinks, "I have a mind.  I can write a story."  And Loo, the Great American Novel is born.

I have the perfect start to my story.  Here's how it goes:

"It was a warm night, and the air smelled of chicken."

I also have a great main character.  His name is Lyle.  He is a fabulously handsome Whigle.  He is funny and smart and has interesting adventures. 

I even have a happy ending:

"Even the stars in the sky celebrated the life of Lyle.  They arranged themselves in his likeness so that all who gazed upon them would know his greatness and good deeds.  And they all lived happily ever after."

It's the middle that is giving me trouble.  I'm thinking of getting a ghost writer (or angel writer) for that part.  I'll take applications.  Send me your idea for the middle.  Then you can write the story and I will get all the credit and the fame.  Ha! Ha!
